The “Big Beautiful Bill” is moving forward in Congress despite the unexpected action President Trump took striking Iranian nuclear facilities on Saturday. Americans should not be distracted by the continual war news and forget about the “Big Beautiful Bill”. No question these are serious times.
No different than bombs killing people the same destruction can happen without healthcare and food. We cannot let any distraction cause us to stop the pressure on Congress related to the Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill”.
We cannot forget the thousands who will be kicked off Medicaid health insurance, nor the millions of households with children who depend on SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) to eat. Small towns who are already suffering due to federal cutbacks will lose rural hospitals.
It is widely known what is driving this is the Trump administration commitment to provide tax breaks to millionaires. Breaks that will be paid for by cutting these social programs and others. Plus, this will raise the national debt by trillions over the next decade.
The bottom line is this “Big Beautiful Bill” will be the largest transfer of wealth from the poor to the rich in a single law in U. S. history.
Regardless what’s happening in the world…Congress is working to pass this bill by July 4th.
