What was Governor Manchin thinking when he told POLITICO the only remaining obstacles…..to his “highly likely” candidacy for the Senate…..left were “procedural” regarding who would become Governor were he to vacate the position?
Article VII of the State Constitution clearly says it would be the President of the Senate…..until an election takes place…..if the vacancy occurs before the first three years of the term expires…..with all the confusion about the election laws…..who know what has been uncovered…..guess we will find out Monday…..when the Governor is to talk about the special session to tidy up the election laws.
