Dear Mr. President,

Mar 27, 2025

Dear Mr. President,

With all that is going on I am concerned about you and your presidency.

This concern did not begin with Signal Chat that has turned into a scandal.  It appears some of your cabinet appointments are not living up to your expectations.  Expect the Senators who had questions about various cabinet nominees but wanted to support you are concerned. Thus, the impact on your legislative agenda could be in danger.  Likely your billionaire friends will be unhappy and even angry if the 2017 tax reductions are not extended.

Speaking of billionaires, Elon Musk’s aggressive approach to his assignment is beginning to cause people to dislike you.  Everyone recognizes he has spent huge money to assure you became president, however he is stealing your presidency.   Your grassroots MAGA supporters are seeing him as stronger than you and have questions about what he expects in return.  Particularly when he orders millions of dollars cut from programs MAGA voters, their families and neighbors depend upon…while he has federal contracts worth billions.

People who voted for you are disappointed.  They never expected mass firing of federal workers, most of whom are outside of Washington.  These talented people contributed much to their communities, and they voted for you.  Now they are unemployed living often in rural & small communities where jobs are limited.  You might want to visit this problem.  And they are blaming you not the guy with the chain saw.

Talk on the street is “where are you leading the economy?”  Everyone expected an aggressive effort to bring prices down.  Now you are getting ready to add a tax (tariff) which will raise the price on most purchases.  You might recall President Clinton got elected on “It’s The Economy, Stupid.”

Before this letter of concern about your presidency is finished it must pointed out the lack of respect you show to the “rule of law” and Judges.  All of us who studied civics in school learned the importance of the Constitution and democracy.  Maybe it’s time you acknowledged the Constitution.  It’s not too late to act like a President…just sitting behind the resolute desk issuing Executive Orders is not enough.

This letter is written with the hope you will be remembered as a successful President.
